VOTZEK
Votzek, a new take on Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck of 1925, was the first production of the newly re-formed Birmingham Opera Company.
It was performed in a derelict warehouse in Ladywood in February 2001. The production then played in Liverpool and Sheffield in March,
before being taken to Orporto, Portugal as part of the Oporto European Capital of Culture Festival in April
