Rites of Spring

The second production in the Monteverdi mini-season, The Rites of Spring was a fusion of 17th century madrigals and 21st century dance. Graham Vick conducted a chamber choir of 21 singers, as seven dancers performed Ron Howell's choreoraphed interpretations. The four perfomances were al-fresco, in Cannon Hill Park on Friday 11th June 2004, and in the Cathedral Precinct, at the canalside by Symphony Hall, and in Oozell's Square by the Ikon Gallery on Saturday 12th June.
