Dedication to music

This year the 'Dedication to Music' award has been won by Penny Martin. This trophy is awarded each year by Anvil Chorus and Second City Sound to a pupil who has made a significant contribution to music-making in the school. The large shield remains in the school and Penny gets to keep the small replica. Penny is pictured here receiving the award from Yvonne Powell of Second City Sound John Ellis, PRO of Anvil Chorus.

Making Music Midland Region AGM

A quartet from Anvil Chorus attended the Annual General Meeting of Making Music Midland Region to demonstrate barbershop singing. They performed for the assembled group which comprised of members involved in numerous forms of music. The Chairman of the region felt that more people had a greater understanding of barbershop following the demonstration. May I on behalf of their Chorus thank them for their time.
