2004 is BABS 30th birthday, the association having been formed in 1974, and convention this year was a big one! It was held in Harrogate from Friday 28th - Monday 31st May 2004.

Accord

Anvil Chorus and Gentlemen Songsters quartet Accord were competing at convention for the first time. They achieved 15th place with 51.1% (920 marks)

International Qualification

Matrix



Matrix were also competing at Harrogate to attain the necessary qualification score of 76% to represent BABS at the International convention 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

They achieved this!

Our new director

Victor Wong directed Anvil Chorus for this competition. He took on the job only a few weeks before convention.

John Baker got a polo shirt specially embroidered with "Victor (in at the deep end) Wong" and "Anvil Chorus - Virgin Director"
